Exciting Days

Runwari is not just a race.

It is a spiritual endurance journey inspired by the sacred Wari tradition of Maharashtra. Every year, runners travel the historic route from Alandi to Pandharpur, testing their physical limits and inner strength. Runwari combines devotion, discipline, and ultra endurance — making it one of the most unique ultra running events in India.

Who

Runwari Team

Runwari was born in the solitude of 2021. When the world stopped and the annual Wari was cancelled, six friends decided to walk the path themselves. Covering 220 km from Alandi to Pandharpur in just 66 hours with only 6 hours of sleep, they discovered that the journey was not just physical—it was spiritual.

What started as an idea by Bhushan Tarak has now grown into an annual tradition. Runwari is not just about covering distance; it is about carrying the spirit of the Warkaris in every step.

Inspired by the sacred Wari tradition, this unique experience takes you across the spiritual route to Pandharpur, testing both your physical strength and inner belief. With limited runners, strict discipline, and a fully supported system, Runwari is designed for those who seek more than just a marathon. It’s an ultra endurance challenge that transforms your mindset, connects you to tradition, and leaves you with a sense of purpose that goes far beyond the finish line.
